Ruby from an early age was creatively inspired by the glamorous makeup of Bollywood movies. By the age of 7 she began using eyeliner and in her teens she was fully experimenting with makeup. Ruby of Bangladeshi decent grew up in Nigeria in West Africa and moved to London aged 12 where she later graduated in economics from the London School of Economics. Ruby’s true passion for makeup since a little girl was still alive and was rewarded when she had an opportunity to shadow a makeup artist for a year. Since then makeup and Ruby have become synonymous partners for life and her career spans from working with influential designers, on TV shows such as ‘Ten Years Younger ; to tops celebrities and magazines as well as being part of the duo behind the hugely successful makeup brand Ruby and Millie.
